Self-Pay Prices
Open, transparent pricing for patients paying without insurance.
These are our prices if you pay on your own, without insurance. Treatments are listed first, A to Z. Consultation-only visits are listed last. We also show the typical San Diego County price so you can compare. As of October 7, 2026, every treatment and product price on this page that has a San Diego County median is at or below that median.
These Are NOT Insurance Prices.
The prices on this page apply only to patients paying out of pocket without using insurance. They do not apply to services billed to Medicare/MediCal, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, or any other health plan. If you use insurance, your cost depends on your plan's coverage, deductible, copayment, and coinsurance.
SuperBill: If you pay out of pocket, we will complete a SuperBill (an itemized statement of your visit) that you may submit to your insurance company on your own. A $75.00 administrative fee applies to SuperBill preparation. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your plan. SuperBills are not provided for Medicare, MediCal, VA Community Care (TriWest), or TRICARE patients.
All treatment recommendations, dosing, and frequency are subject to evaluation by an MVMIC physician. Prices are effective October 7, 2026 and are subject to change.

* San Diego County Median Self-Pay Price: the middle value of self-pay prices posted online by San Diego County IV and infusion providers, including clinics and mobile at-home services, for similar services, reviewed October 4, 2026. Where only one posted price was found, that price is shown. Other providers' doses, ingredients, and included services may differ, and mobile services may include travel to your home. Their prices may have changed since our review.
† Zepbound medication is not included in any consultation price. Medication is purchased separately through a pharmacy or the manufacturer's self-pay program, or billed to your insurance if covered. We will review medication costs with you before you start.
§ Laboratory testing: MVMIC collects blood and urine specimens only and does not perform laboratory testing. Specimens are sent to an outside laboratory (for example, LabCorp or Quest), which charges you separately for the tests ordered. Imaging studies are performed and billed by the hospital or imaging center you choose.
‡ Ketamine: Intravenous Ketamine for depression and other mental health conditions is an off-label use; it is not FDA-approved for these conditions. Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray is FDA-approved for certain forms of depression in adults and is administered under a federally required safety program.
Our Commitment to Clear, Actual Prices
On February 25, 2025, the President signed the Executive Order Making America Healthy Again by Empowering Patients with Clear, Accurate, and Actionable Healthcare Pricing Information. It sets a national policy of giving patients clear and accurate healthcare prices, and directs federal agencies to require hospitals and health plans to disclose actual prices, not estimates, in a form that is easy to compare. MVMIC has put these principles into practice: our self-pay prices are listed as exact dollar amounts, posted before your visit, with the typical San Diego County price beside each one so you can compare, and reviewed every month.
Read the Executive Order(opens whitehouse.gov in a new tab)What Is Included
Each infusion and injection price includes the medication or nutrients listed, supplies, administration by a licensed nurse, and monitoring during your visit, under physician supervision. Prices do not include laboratory tests, which are billed separately when your physician orders them. A consultation is required before your first treatment. Laboratory and imaging orders written during a consultation are included in the consultation price. Orders requested without a visit are charged as a follow-up consultation, which includes your physician's review of the results.
If You Have Insurance
MVMIC accepts Aetna, Cigna, Medicare (Noridian), and United Healthcare for covered services. When a service is covered by your plan, we bill your plan and your cost depends on your plan's terms, not on this price list. Please call (619) 230-5123 to verify your coverage before your visit. If you prefer to pay in full out of pocket for a service and do not want it billed to your health plan, please tell us before your visit.
Medicare/MediCal Patients
If you have Medicare or MediCal, services covered by your program are billed to that program where MVMIC is an enrolled provider. Self-pay prices apply only to services your program does not cover. If we believe Medicare may not pay for a service, we will ask you to review and sign a written notice before the service is provided, so you can decide whether to proceed.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
Our Medication Standards: FDA-Approved Only
MVMIC uses only FDA-approved medications. We do not offer peptides that are not FDA-approved, and we do not offer compounded GLP-1 medications (compounded versions of semaglutide or tirzepatide).
Why: compounded GLP-1 drugs are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. The FDA has received reports of adverse events with compounded GLP-1 drugs, including hospitalizations linked to dosing errors. Because the brand-name products are no longer in shortage, we believe patients are best served by FDA-approved medications made to consistent standards.
Coming Soon
FDA-approved peptide therapies and Wegovy (semaglutide). Self-pay prices will be posted on this page when these services begin.
Promotions
From time to time, MVMIC may offer promotions on self-pay hydration and vitamin infusions only. Each promotion will state its exact price, start and end dates, and eligibility. Promotions apply to self-pay services only, cannot be applied to services billed to insurance, and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated.
Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and personal checks. We do not accept cash. Payment is due at the time of service.
